Deep Dish Brownies
“This recipe came from a Hershey’s pamphlet. I made them for the family when I was a teenager and it ended up being a family favorite.” – Chrissy
Deep Dish Brownies
- 1 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 tsp vanilla
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Blend melted butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
Add eggs; beat well.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture until blended.
Spread in greased 9×13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edge of pan.
Cool and cut into squares.
