Divinity

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup karo syrup
  • 2 egg whites with a dash of salt, beaten till stiff
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
  1. In medium saucepan, combine first 3 ingredients.

    Bring to boil and boil until it forms a hard ball or reaches 262 degrees.

    Add syrup mixture to egg whites and beat till stiff. Add 1 tsp. vanilla, and walnuts.

    Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
