Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

“This is a recipe that Grandma Johnson (Lorene) used to make for her family. It is very rich and especially good with coffee ice cream, however, we used to pour a little milk over it.” – Mama J

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Topping

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 3/4 cups hot water
  1. Heat oven to 350.

  2. Stir together first 8 ingredients and spread in pan,10×8

  3. Blend brown sugar and cocoa in small bowl and sprinkle over the top.

  4. Pour hot water over all.

  5. Bake 45 minutes.
