Raspberry Bars

This was a recipe from Grandma Lorene. When they lived at Valley View they had lots of raspberry bushes so she made lots of jam. – Mama J

Raspberry Bars

  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1 10 oz jar of raspberry jam
  1. Heat oven to 400.

  2. Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add dry ingredients and mix well.

  4. Press half of mixture in greased 9×13 pan.

  5. Spread with jam, and top with remaining crumb mixture.

  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

  7. Cool and cut into squares.
