Wacky Cake
“When Papa J and I were in Bible college we would go to to English’s house where lots of college students congregated and Mrs. English would make this cake for us. It was such a treat to eat something homemade. It is quick and easy to make and is also yummy.” – Mama J
Wacky Cake
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups cold water
- 3/4 cup oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 350.
Combine dry ingredients in a 13×9 pan and stir with fork.
Add remaining ingredients to pan and mix well.
Bake 35 minutes or until done.
It's great with cool whip, plain, or with White Mountain Frosting.
