Washington Nut Pie
“This is an old recipe from my mom. She would make it for my Grandpa Bob if he were coming for Christmas or Thanksgiving.” – Mama J
Washington Nut Pie
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup white or brown sugar
- 1 cup dark karo syrup
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup walnuts
Beat eggs slightly with beater.
Add remaining ingredients, except nuts, and mix well.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
To prevent over browning, cover edge of pie with foil.
Bake at 350 about 25 minutes.
Remove foil; bake about 25 minutes more.
Cool before serving.
Cover and chill to store.
